Vineyards with experience
We are working on the development of this project. Coming soon.
The writer Àngel Guimerà called the cooperative winery of l’Espluga de Francolí the Cathedral of Wine. That name soon began to be used for all wineries built in the early XX Century at the hands of Cèsar Martinell, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí, and of Lluís Domènech i Montaner and his son Pere Domènech Roura. Castell d’Or has three modernist cooperatives: in l’Espluga de Francolí, Barbera de la Conca and Vila-rodona.
Get to know these spaces that speak of our history and culture and broaden your experience of wine, live it with all your senses, discover the colours of the vines, feel the origins and the tradition. Visit our winery and discover the birthplace of the vine, and let yourself be swept away by the colours, the shapes and the experience of getting closer to the world of wine.
If you would like to learn a little more about modernism and how it was applied to the wine industry, visit the cooperatives in l’Espluga de Francolí, Barbera de la Conca and Vila-rodona, authentic works of art. In addition, their location is perfect, as they are on the Cistercian Route, near the monasteries of Poblet and Santes Creus.
