Bringing together the knowledge and the experience of nine different wine-elaborating cooperatives with different Origin Denominations from Catalonia, and the labour carried out by their vine-growers, technicians and oenologists, Castell d'Or produces wines, cavas and olive oils which have earned great recognition all over the world.

The cellar from l'Espluga de Francolí was named Catedral del Vi (Wine Cathedral) by the catalan writer Àngel Guimerà. This denomination was soon used for other cellars built at the beginning of the 20th century by architects such Cèsar Martinell, follower of Antoni Gaudí, and Domenech i Montaner and his son Pere Domènech Roura.

The wines, sparkling wines anb olive oil Castell d’Or in Prowein 2016

Prowein3Since its inception, Castell d'Or has committed for its presence in international fairs such as Prowein, one of the biggest world wine trade fairs in Europe. This year Prowein will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 13 to 15 March. It will be the 11th year that Castell d'Or will have its place in this important meeting with participants from around the world and business opportunities.

Castell d'Or will be there with all wines, sparkling wines and extra virgin olive oil fully own production. In this way, customers of 30 countries to which it exports Castell d'Or and others that it will bring will have the complete catalog of Castell d'Or wines, sparkling wines and olive oil.

The export volume of Castell d'Or is now, 85% of the production, so the presence at fairs as Prowein are essential to maintain and open new markets abroad.
